Fruit and Vegetables
We offer an
extensive choice of fresh fruit and vegetables, including an organic section.
Dairy Produce
A wide range of
dairy produce is available, for example Downsview Ice Cream, Milk and Yoghurts from Northiam Dairies, Court Lodge and Plaw Hatch Drinking
Yoghurts and a range of locally produced speciality cheeses from High Weald Dairies.
Juices and Drinks
We stock
Gran Steads Ginger drink and traditional still lemonade, and have two local suppliers of apple juice – Ringden
Farm and organic Oakwood Farm.
Eggs
We have a local supplier of free range and barn eggs.
The hens are
fed a traditional cereal and legume based feed, GM free, and are either allowed free access to the outside or in the case of barn eggs, freedom of the barn with perches and nest boxes.
Honey, Jams and Chutney
Paynes Southdown Bee Farm provide honey together with a range of jams,
chutneys and marmalades. We have Sussex Gold rapeseed and sunflower oils together with a selection of their dressings.
Vegetable Crisps
Ever
increasingly popular the Tyrrells potato and vegetable crisps.
Bread, Cakes and Biscuits
We offer
Farmhouse Cookery cakes which are made locally and taste
just like homemade. Our bread comes from two local bakeries and includes an organic selection.
Firewood, Logs and Fuel
We stock quality seasoned hardwood logs by the bag, kindling and a choice of alternative ecobriquettes.
Hay and Straw
Our hay and straw comes from local farms and is of good quality.
Meat and Pies
Our meat fridge is stocked with a range of interesting sausages, made locally by Frank Richards of Lewes, using local free range pork. Try our Falmer sausages made exclusively for us. Bacon and ham are also available together with Chunk’s award winning pies and pasties.
